
Dr. Daniele Levy is a Stanford-trained licensed clinical psychologist whose background uniquely combines leading edge training in behavioral sciences with deep expertise coaching and mentoring working professionals in dynamic organizations. Together, these perspectives inform her warm, collaborative, and effective care in adult mental health.
Dr. Levy specializes in providing cognitive and behavioral therapy (CBT) to adults struggling with an array of emotional and interpersonal concerns including stress, anxiety, depression, work problems, and relationship difficulties. She employs empirically validated treatments to deliver meaningful symptom reduction through brief interventions. She is a Level 4 Certified Therapist and Trainer in TEAM-CBT, an innovative framework for delivering evidence-based psychotherapy developed by Stanford University’s Dr. David Burns, and is trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
In addition to her private psychotherapy practice, Dr. Levy directs the Integrated Medical-Behavioral Health department at the San Mateo Medical Center, a general medical and surgical hospital in San Mateo, CA. In that capacity, she leads clinical operations, provides psychiatric services in primary and specialty care, and manages training programs. Dr. Levy is also on the Board of Trustees at Palo Alto University and serves as an advisor to technology companies in the healthcare space. She is actively involved with programs related to women's issues in the workplace, having served on the advisory board of the Women’s Initiative Network and as a facilitator for the Women in Management program at the Stanford Graduate of Business.
Dr. Levy's research interests include work-life balance among professional women; use of technology in delivery of psychological interventions; and evidence-based interventions for depressive disorders. She has assisted in clinical research for various projects at Stanford's School of Medicine Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, the Palo Alto VA, and the Pacific Graduate School of Psychology. She has published research focused on female-specific effects of workaholism on well-being outcomes.
Dr. Levy completed a PhD in Clinical Psychology at the Pacific Graduate School of Psychology with a concentration track in Clinical Neuroscience in Women’s Health at Stanford University’s School of Medicine. She completed a pre-doctoral clinical training program approved by the American Psychological Association in college counseling and has practiced in community mental health clinics, hospitals, and at the Palo Alto Veteran's Administration. She holds an MBA degree from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil.
